Excellent fish and chips...light batter and perfectly cooked fish. Hand made coleslaw and tartar sauce. Slice of lemon was plump and fresh with no seeds. Creme brulea was perfect. My wife's spaghetti with tereseau sausage and spiced chicken tossed with truffle oil was perfect. Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service. Finally a chef that understands seasoning and herbs should compliment food not dominate it! Aqua Terra is done...criminal waste of money.

What a pleasant surprise! My hubby and I were looking for a place to grab a bite for dinner while staying in Gananoque overnight. We decided on The When and Anchor, because it was walking distance from where we were staying, the menu online looked really tasty, and it had some really good reviews. We were not disappointed! We shared the fried platter, because we weren't super hungry. The platter came with battered haddock, calamari, butterfly shrimp, scallops, and fries, with cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and coleslaw. The fish was cooked perfectly, soft and flaky on the inside, and perfectly crispy on the outside. The calamari was cooked just right. Shrimp and scallops were both nice as well. Portions were big, easily enough for 2 to share, and we couldn't even finish it all! Service was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely come back again.

Stopped here on our way back to Kingston, neat set up, good atmosphere and food was awesome. Little pricey however large portions nake up for it definitely left full! Service was great aswell! Definitely recommend!

My wife and daughter and I went out for dinner at the Wheel and Anchor Restaurant last night and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious with good sized portions, the service was excellent, we will definitely go back.

This was the best fish and chips that I have ever had. Better than any fish restaurant ever thought of. I ordered the Haddock fish, 2 pieces and I could only eat 1 piece...lol The fish pieces are huge, fill of meat and not all batter either or full of hollow areas. Coleslaw was absolutely delicious. I will definitely drive out of my way to go to the Wheel and Anchor restaurant again. Great service and I met the cook and complimented him as. I live about 25 minutes away. Great job to ALL!

Great restaurant! The food is good and the service is lovely, the portions are perfect and the staff was really attentive. I'd recommend!
